Changed my oil and filter last night without even getting under the car.
I'd guess that many have done this themselves already, but thought I'd post this to share how easy it was.
I used the Griot's Garage dipstick oil extractor. It worked well, except it only holds 6.5 liters so you have to stop and empty it and restart it to get all the oil out. I pulled out about 10 quarts in total, which is .5 more than Audi says gets changed during an oil change. My oil level was just below below the full line on the dipstick before I started removing the oil, so maybe you can get more used oil out this way than through the drainplug?
Changing the cartridge filter couldn't have been easier, but I'm assuming that the washer included with the filter was for the drainplug because I couldn't find any other use for it.
10 quarts of European Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (make sure that the back of the bottle says made in Germany--regular Syntec isn't real synthetic) later my car was ready to go again.

This is it.
Your post was of a kit that includes the extractor, but I bought the extractor alone. I didn't have the need for anything else in the kit, especially since things at Griot's tend to be quite a bit overpriced. The extractor alone appears to be a decent value compared to the others I saw online.

Griot's oil extractor

If you change it often, I don't think that would be a problem.
Especially since I got at least as much used oil out as draining would get. If you have deposits that are too big to get sucked up in the dipstick tube, I think that you may have bigger concerns with your engine and the oil that you're using. Anyway, the dealer will be draining it every 10k and I'll be sucking it out at least once between those scheduled oil changes.
