Default Disconnect servotronic steering???

I just got an '04 S4 Cab, and the clutch and steering have next to no feedback compared to the '00 S4 I just sold. Too much luxury and not enough sport a la M-B. Someone mentioned to me that they disconnected a module in the steering column of their '01 Allroad to reduce the power-assist and gain better feel for the road in the steering of that car. Anyone know if you can do something like that in the B6 S4?

Default There is no servotronic power steering boost control? Is it a passive system?

The Servotronic system in the A6/S6/Allroad is a speed-sensitive controller that varies steering boost based on road speed. At low speed (parking lot speeds) it has alot of boost to make it easy in tight spots. At high speed, the boost is low to give you a firm feel in turns.

It feels like the B6 S4 has that same feel in the steering that the S6 and allroad do, so I assumed it had Servotronic. Maybe not. Can you confirm for sure?

Default there is boost control but you can't pull a fuse to disable it like they do in A6's

i think it might be altered with a VAG like they do in the A3's, but at this point i havent heard anyone doing this.

Default It's not a fuse

It's a module that controls the level of boost based on speed input. I'd be surprised if there is not one on our cars. I don't think anyone has had issues with the B6 S4 steering feel therefore I don't think anyone has looked for a module.

The B5 and C5 had significantly boosted steering and pulling the 605/628 module firmed it up.
