Do you like XM sound quality?
There's no hiss, but it's not sharp.
I think I'll pay for the service just for the comedy stations/channels. Need the laughs.
I must say however that the sound quality for music is not so great. I need to look up the specs.

Nothing special. Not terrible. Remember, it's a car environment. You're not going to hear all of
the little nuances (like the color added to a violin by second harmonic) anyway, even on a CD unless you crank the gain to 120db.

I love it - got one as a Xmas gift from my brother - I currently use it with the built in FM xmitter
and clearly the sound is much much better than FM. It is fairly close to the CD changer in quality.
I also have the Home base that I plug it into for my receiver - and sound is quite acceptable but not SACD quality.
Clearly the install with your car will give even better sound - since you will not be using a FM transmitter but the built in Audi system<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/forum/audio.html">Link</a></li></ul>

Sound quality is fine...it's the crappy programming (compared to Sirius)!
I listen to electronic/trance/dance/college radio. Sirius seems to play the best their programming during prime time. Compare that XM, who plays their best stuff during odd hours (late nights, early morning ~ 2 or 3am, or middle of the weekday). My 2 cents...
