Depends on what codec you used. I don't think WMAPro is supported on any portable device yet. Phatbox doesn't do AAC (not worth the licensing cost)
Why would you use wmp to do AAC? Seems WMA9 is more natural a choice if you're gonna use wmp.
When ripping your whole collection, it's really better to rip to FLAC, and then you can transcode all you want to whatever format is needed. (And you can always batch convert stuff later when new codecs come out). Since FLAC is lossless, you lose no quality transcoding from it.
