I would rip off my front plate in one second if the law would allow it!
Front plates suck! Esp. with the new Audi grills, they look way better without a front plate! (Euro plates look better than US plates if you must run a front plate however...)

I really don't mind if I'm required to display a front tag. Frankly, I think our cars look good either with or without a front tag. However, if a front tag is required, a frame is a must.

I don't have one either. Your chances of getting hassled are very slim.
Even if a cop were to notice it's only a fix-it ticket. I've been driving for nearly 2 years w/o a front plate, been pulled over twice and got 1 ticket for going 83 in a 65. CHP airplane got me. The lack of a front license plate never came up.
I'd say that around 30% of cars on the road in CA do not have a front plate.
Besides, a front plate on an Audi is an eyesore. Even more so on the B7's.
