Exhaust cable "hack"--Benj, you ready?
Don't know what else to call it...who else has removed that "cable" which causes the exhaust to close down? I remember someone posting pics..
Would it be possible to do without lifting the car? Anyone try? Considerable sound difference? MPG? Power?
TIA
(Benj, are you down to try this out with me when I come back up?)

Not a cable - actually vacuum lines. You can disconnect them without being on a lift.
Use a small screw to plug the lines while you have them off to maintain the vacuum in the system. The valves are right in the very back and you will find it pretty easy to spot them when you get down and look.
You will find very little sound difference from inside of the car, but your car is noticably louder outside. You can best hear what you have done by driving with the windows down in a parking garage.
I found the resulting sound to be a little on the ghetto side for my tastes. The Milltek sound is much nicer inside and out, although yanking the vacuum lines is a *LOT* cheaper
Have fun.

I did this on a track day and to be honest, I really couldn't tell a difference at all.
Maybe a real dyno would show a couple more HP, but it wasn't something that you can feel with the universal butt-dyno.....
