A few comments after 10 days...
Avant/Nogaro/Blue-Black Alcantara/6MT/Premium/ Infotanment-Sirius/Heated Seats/Navagation
I agree with most comments about driving so I see no reason to restate them - a fabulous car - hard to keep the revs under 4K during breakin. the books took me a week to read. The car is a least twice as complex as the B5 and has many changes (I'm not complanning though).
1) What happened to the back window washer on the Avant? I came from a B5 S4 Avant and I am sure it was a maintenance problem for some cars, but I never had any problems, and I miss it. With so many changes and upgrades from the B5, this is the only thing that seems to have been downgraded.
2) The auto lights are nice, but I wish there was a longer delay before the lights turn on. It keeps turning on my lights when I go under a overpass during the day.
3) Not sure if I trust the leaving/coming home light option. I have to check it each time to make sure the lights go off.
4) What happened to the cable that made sure the gas cap was not lost? Not that I will lose it...

Got an example of what makes it "twice as complex as the B5"?

I think I would agree on all points other than #3. I also miss gas cap cable.
While I have never lost one and still hang it from the fuel cover as before, I still have this feeling of being naked whenever I am at the gas station.
I do wish I had a rear window washer - that window could use it on an Avant.
I gave up on the auto lights feature - it cycles the headlights too much for my liking.

Hmm - OK I can see the washer jets, but when are they activated? Our manual doesn't really cover the
rear wiper other than to say how to replace the blades. Is this just part of the washer system in general and is activated whenever the rear wiper is working? I have not noticed the rear blade in use for general one touch wiper washing (i.e. pull the wiper control towards the driver). The icons on the wiper control arm seem to suggest this would be true.

Okay - I am wrong about the rear washer...
I had never tried it. The problem as AlanL said is that it was not mentioned in the manual and I took that for gospel.
I noticed that the Avant manual sometime mentioned Sedan features.
The rear window ice defroster is mentioned as being both the left button in one document and the right button in another. They look too much alike.
