Had a similar incident
On a mountain road on my motorcycle, passed a cop in a turn going the other way; knew he was going to come after me, so I just maintained my pace until he caught up, which was 20 turns and 2 miles later. Got a ticked for speeding; said he paced me. This was totally physically impossible for two reasons. First, in the time it took him to turn around, I would have already been 1/2 mile ahead. Second, there weren't any straight areas long enought to allow for him to even keep me in sight at that distance, much less pace me. I videotaped the stretch of road counting out the mileage 10ths and the curves, gave it the judge, and he threw the ticket out. Same deal with me; old cop (found out he was literally months from retirement); he was pissed I was speeding but had no way to prove it, so he simply lied. What shocked me was that he went to court and lied right to the judge. And when I questioned him on the fact that by the time he had safely stopped and turned around, simple math indicated I was over 1/2 a mile away, he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. In my case, he never would have even caught up to me, but for construction on the road that had things down to 1 lane with a temporary light. So I had to stop and wait about 5 minutes at the light, and he eventually pulled up.

That could happen, but then again, it might not.
It all depends on the Judge(JOP/Magistrate). If he sees this cop in court frequently, he could just ignore the facts . I've seen that happen. You will see the judge for the first time. The cop probably has already established credability in the court room. It can go either way.

I agree with others, get a lawyer. If you didn''t admit to speeding, sounds like they don't have a
case. Sounds like the cop was just being a *****. I had one pull me over once because he said he heard me coming and it sounded like I was speeding. I didn't admit to anything and it was thrown out.
