Hi - any recommendations for a "lite" track tire?
I've tracked 2-3 times per year for a few years. I read a few posts on Falken RT 615 Hankook k104 and Z212, Kumho Ecsta MX. Any opinions from those with experience here is greatly appreciated. (I have winter tires on Stock 18'Avus rims sitting in the garage, and am thinking of swapping on/off some tires I can use at the track in the spring/summer/fall. I would drive to the track on the "track tires". Looking to save my Dunlop streets and get a bit better performance at the track.

I like my Kumho Ecsta MX
But I don't use them for the track. They are relatively inexpensive, but good luck trying to get them from the tirerack, they have been back ordered for the past couple of months.

I've used both the Ecsta MX and the RT-615...
IMO, the 615 is a little bit better, but it can still get greasy if you push it too hard. I had some small issues with tread block squirm that freaked me out a little with the Kumho, as well as some chunking of the tread. Since the tread block is much less on the Falken, it doesn't have the same issue. The other option would be to put a few thousand miles on the Kumho to wear the tread down a bit before tracking with it.
As far as longevity, I think I've gotten from 8-10 days (4-5 events) out of both the Kumho and the Falken. In both cases, I was running a 235/45-17, which is, of course, not the stock tire for the B6.

What pressures do you run them at on the track?
I run 35 on the street and bump up to about 38 for track on the Dunlops. That gets them up to about 45-48 hot. 48 for front left tire of course
