Default I was interested in getting these HID headlights, but then..

"These are 100% OEM items, but do not ship in OEM packaging and come with no warranty. Shipping damage issues need to be disputed with the shipping carrier immediately if any problems are found. These items have no factory warranty and are sold as-is. Housings and supplied equipment are not DOT approved"

Your thoughts? What does DOT stand for?<ul><li><a href="http://www.epimporters.com/products/description.php?II=101">HID</a></li></ul>

Default Disagree. It makes sense.

It saying it's not DOT approved means that you will get a ticket for it's not legal on U.S. streets. This is known about ecodes.

It does not come in OEM packaging in that Audi is not selling you these. They probably bought them in bulk and do not have the packaging Audi would use. My ecodes from VAGparts came in their own packaging which was quite impressive actually. (I guess it needed to be since they were shipping overseas!)

Anyway, if you're afraid of EPIimporters try vagparts. I can highly recommend them.

They can recognize that you don't have the yellow side markers.

Default i bought a set of ecode from Chris@EPi a while back and packaging was great.

they were individually packed, in a box was design for them... i'm assuming by "<i>not ship in OEM packaging</i>" they mean that the box doesn't have any Audi logo/labels on it... i actually kept the boxes, and use the some other boxes when i shipped the ecodes to their new owner...

EPi are great people to deal with... i've always been really happy with their customer service...
