so that settles it. With my '92 Honda, I guess VTEC was only on drawing paper??

I think it's still VTEC but with single over head cam.

The hot VTEC is with double over head cams the came to the models of Integra type R and CIvic Type R, Prelude type SH, and CIVIC Si.
