Lost my 3rd tire this winter...
Lost 2 Dunlop SP9000s on my b5 (one pothole one drill bit through the sidewall). 2.5k on my '05 b6 and now I lost my first OEM ContiContact2, this time a 1" square piece of metal right through the main belts.
I've become expert at changing Audi tires on the side of major highways. This one I had changed in a record time of 13 min.
All three losses have occured on Rt78 right around NJ exits 16 - 20. This section of the road is in horrible disrepair.
I think I'm gonna go with the Goodyear F1-GSD3s now.

bummer....sorry to hear...question:
Q: - has anyone had to use the Audi Roadside Assist? Any good? Hoping I don't have to, but would be nice to know what to expect if ever need it.

Well, Ben called one last night since he didn't have a spare...and the guy showed up without a
flatbed. "Audi Assist" and they're not prepared to flatbed our awd cars?
Fortunately Eric showed up mins afterwards and we only ended up using Audi assist for his better lift.

Needed Audi roadside once with my b5...
they contract through AAA, so the truck that picks up the car is the same truck that would have come if you used AAA roadside instead.
Excellent service. The truck was there in less than 30 min and took me right to the Audi stealer which was 25 miles away.
It was my only problem with the b5...bad wiring harness caused weird intermittent ECU malfunctions. One day it just shut the car completely down with a three-chime tone and every single warning light illuminated on the dash. The ECU was spitting out throttle control codes. The stealer wanted to install a new throttle housing for the bargain basement price of $1700 plus labor.
My only question to him was: what does the throttle control housing have to do with the ABS warning light being on, the EPS warning light on, the low oil pressure warning light, etc. Needed to get AoA involved on that one, the stealer was simply lost. Luckily the reginal service rep had heard of this before and the $30 wiring harness cured the problem.
No probs yet with the b6, but Audi roadside is very reliable if (when?) needed.
