Default FYI, some mebers were not allowed to take their keys on an airplane for that reason.
Inspectors believed that the key could be used an a weapon. Just think, a sleeper cell of muslim extremist (probably SAudis, pun intended) Audi drivers taking over the plane with their modded Audi keys.

Default I had to open my Audi key for them but was allowed to take it on the plane. I am always amazed when
they allow me to take my Steinberger guitar on the plane. It has a graphite neck thats nearly indestructible and the whole thing can be swung like a baseball bat.
