Default Need tire installation/balancing help...

Hit some road debris on the highway and damaged one of the Conti's. May have been a blesssing in disguise because I really need all-season's anyway.

Here's my question...I'm looking for a reputable tire installer and I've read on here that the wheel-balancing equipment (Hunter GSP9700) and method (being able to "road force balance" the wheels) is important. So I've been calling around to local installers and asking what type of equipment they use and whether they can road-balance the wheels. What exactly does it mean to "road-balance" the wheels. One of the local installers I called (supposedly a very reputable german repair shop) said they specifically DON'T believe in "road-balancing", and that they balance the wheels "on the car" to factory specs. What do they mean?

I'm in the Washington, DC area (Rockville, MD), so if anyone can recommend an excellent installer please do. Thanks in advance.

Default I believe in the 9700!

have one wheel that is ever so slightly bent.. created a minor vibration at high speeds. I found a GSP9700 and it balanced out perfectly.

Check here to find one near you:
