Ok, ya'll I need advice on how much tint. for the avant.
most common seems to be the 35% variety.
does anyone have anything else?
I'm going black ext. and silver alcantara interior with black leather.
can anyone post good pics or info on why other %'s would be used and if they are better?
Thanks, oh and one more thing, WHAT Brand of tint.

Check my poster for tint appearance...
Those were taken when I had 20% on. Looked great on the outside but I had to roll down my windows to take turns at night since I couldn't see if I was going to hit someone/thing. Dealer screwed up since I told them 35% so they replaced for free. Remember, tint looks darker when you have dark interior. IMO 35% is best since it looks good, provides good outward visibility, and doesn't beg police officers to pull you over. However, that also depends on where you live. Type - 3-M charcoal llumar (I think).

Well I think you've seen enough of mine, but mine's been done with 27%.

I would think 18% or less would be pretty damn dark.
But I'm very happy with the 27% on my car. Dark enough to notice it's tinted. But you can still see through if you walk up to the car. Being that the car is black it <i>really</i> looks good, and actually doesn't seem to bother police too much since I've driven around and even been pulled over without a word from any cops on the tint.
I'm also amazed at how well I can see at night too. Very clear stuff.

thanks, that's what I was looking for. thanks, I'm looking to have the
Tint be a nice dark color, but NOT TOO dark so that It becomes hard to see out of at night ya know?
I'm looking for the subtle approach, not the ol' school DARK as night. so the 27-35% is prolly where I'll fall.
is there a SPecific brand name of tint that I should be looking for or are they ALL the same?
LUmar seems to come to mind, but I'd figured I ask.
