True, but you also don't have other characteristics involved in the basic economics model. Consumers don't have other options. Sure, we can drive a little less or take public transit, but for most, this isn't a viable alternative.

saudis agree to pump 500,000 more barrels per day..and gas outside my window has only gone down a few cents over the past few weeks. If our governor hadnt put a stay on the sales tax, our gas would still be close to $3.00.

and members of my family work for a local natural gas utility (one of them in gas supply), I think I have a little better outlook on what is actually happening on the spot market for oil and gas. And I'm talking about the wholesale, non-consumer oil markets.
