Default 600mg ibuprofen q-6-h- Or even better 660 mg Narpoxen(Aleve) q-12-H prn pain

Take with food and your stomach will be OK. BTW, I have been taking the 620 mg Aleve twice a day for years and NO stomach problems.(kinda like no oil consumption) I write Rxs for pain meds EVERY DAY! Also apply Aspercreme.

Default There is NO completely safe medication!

Actually Aleve (naproxen 220 mg) is considered one of the safest NSAIDs(non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs out there at this time). Are there side effects and risks? YES, but very few for short term use. With long term use, as in arthritis, the risks become greater and the chance of side effects more probable. Easier on your stomach than aspirin, but greater than tylenol which is a pain reliever but not an anti inflammatory(which also relieves pain)

Default Not true - I read them every day. If you've blown a disk - it will show up now.

If you've fractured something - it will show up now. Chances are, you've got an acute sprain - or strain. If it persists - see a doc. Good luck.
