Default I've used Palmolive before, stripped just fine. You'll want to be sure...

it's not "old" soap (as in, the generic bottle you bought 6 years ago) because I'm sure the "oil-busting" effectiveness breaks down over time.

Can use too much, I guess...I make sure there are lots of suds and the wash mit is slippery.

Default I would use Dawn ....

That's what the Bro's say to use, and they are the chemical experts. I just buy a small bottle ($2) and keep it just for the car.

Definitely is good advice. Important: only use the "original" version, not the various scented ones.

Default Why not use a commercial auto wax remover? Most contain Toluene.

Throw some in the gas tank for an octane booster as well.

Default Probably but...if you are going to 'clean' first with something like P21SGEPC or 3M IHG....

it doesn't matter as you will strip off most of what's there. After the P21S or IHG one should wash again with the DAWN to remove ANY residue. Now you are ready for the Zaino.

Might be a bit harsh on other areas and not very cost effective.
