Rant on audi..rave on dealer
35k maint done. all is fine except no air cleaner replacement?
My book clearly states 35k change for $ 0.00 ?
Dealer say's Audi is very clear...change at 55k only.
Service manager offered to do it for free after I faxed him my book but he said Audi can, and does change things but wft ?
Kudos for dealership for stepping up but shame on Audi..
I picked one up for $30.00 and will save the favor for something bigger just in case I ever need it.
also
Like someone else posted before, I was given a 2005 cpo Carrera with 4500 miles on it as a loaner for the day.( I did call my sales rep in advance)
I put 300 nice miles on it, and liked it a lot.
Until I got back in the S4 and remembered what cabin room feels like.
That's how a quality dealership should sell high end cars.

There are quite a few items that were covered in 04 that are no longer covered.
Brakes, rotors, wiper blades also used to be covered but now are not. I'm sure there might be some other items as well. Also, I already anticipate that some members will post that their dealers covered those items. (which I will not dispute). I believe the dealerships have some leeway in these areas. BTW, my delership puts synthetic oil in my 04 for no extra charge when synthetic is mandatory only for 05s and later. Got free wiper blades but I'm not really sure when the reduced coverage went into affect.

The dealers are having a hard time keeping up....
The guys at my dealership practically keep a chart of whats covered for 04's 05's 06's 07's because all of them are different.... its nuts i feel really bad for them too. Audi corporate needs to get something consistant going because its screwing the consumers because they dont really understand this, and its screwing the dealer as they have to keep on top of whats covered and whats not based on the model year of the car!
