Default Rear facing child seats?

Could someone with experience with fitting a rear facing child seat (either center or passenger side) in the back seat of a B7 or B8 S4 comment on the ease of use?

Yes. . . I've searched the forum and found nothing. Thanks.

Passenger side was the only way for a rear face, more options once they face front.

Default Britax Roundabout

I've found that the Britax Roundabout fits fine in my B7 S4 Avant. I've had it in for a couple weeks now.

I have a 2008 Avant 6 speed with alcantara and leather seats.

Very few child seat will fit in the Avant rear facing without taking up all of the room.

The one that we got was recommended by our car seat lady. It's Sunshine Kids, and it is one of the narrowest child seat.

It is very easy to install. Just run the center passenger seat belt through the bottom of the seat, pull the seatbelt back (it will click) until it is very tight, and there you go.

I can fit non tubby friends and family to the left and right of the car seat with no problems.

I got the GRACO rear facing baby seat to fit. I'm about 5'9" and wife is 5'2", so seats are moved up more.

I have a B7 S4 sedan, and I had a Britax infant seat (the base stays in the car; the infant seat latches onto the base) on the passenger side. I had to move the front passenger seat forward a lot in order to accommodate the infant seat. My wife can still sit up front, but she's not comfortable.

I've since upgraded to a Britax Roundabout (forward-facing; installed in the middle seat), and it fits fine. Now my wife can comfortably sit up front. The only drawback with installing it in the middle is that you have to sit in the back in order to buckle your child into the seat. It can be difficult because there's not a lot of legroom in the sedan. It is for this reason that I'm considering letting go of my S4 for a Q5 (I know, you guys must think I'm nuts). I'm still on the fence though. I'm waiting to see if Audi will bring the TDI version of the Q5 in the US. If they do, then maybe, just maybe, I'll get the Q5.
