Default Replaced my first "bad" battery in many, many yrs. !!!!!

Wow...the battery in my 2005.5 S4 had a shorted cell and my car died...22,000. miles....first time a battery has gone "bad" on me since my 1970 Chevelle SS 454...either I've gotten very lucky all these years or they don't make them like they used to...

Nah - you have been lucky. Not unusual - what did you get OEM? Sears? or Optima?

I would think an 05.5 w/ 22k miles would still be under warranty and replaced free...

Default Just had my 05.5 replaced at my 20k service.

It never died, but i did notice a tad slower crank. It was warrantied.

Pretty noraml 2 year life span of batteries in AZ.
