The ride harshness of RS4...
So far, it seems like every article I've read about the upcoming RS4, the writers are bashing the car for how stiff/harsh the ride is. Can anyone confirm this? I know that we want this car to handle well, but for a lot of us, this car would also serve as a daily driver.

Re: The ride harshness of RS4...
I have heard it mentioned, but not all of the reviewers have shared this opinion and even the ones who did only 'mentioned' it...I wouldn't call it a "bash" (ok, one review made it their outgoing comment, giving it more empasis...a british review i think?).
One would expect a car of this stripe to be a little stiff. However, one of the test-drivers over on on the RS6 forum mentioned how well the DRC worked to make the car pliant on normal roads...so I wouldn't call the opinion that the car is harsh a universal one.

EASY FIX. Let air our of the tires!
In fact I ran the original Contis @ 35 psi to make the ride more compliant. Of course you realize that it WILL decrease the tradlife of the tires.

I think the factory tires specs on the S4 ( 39/35 psi lightly loaded or 42/42 fully loaded ) are to keep the OEM " XL " spec tires from blowing up at 155 mph crossing the desert into Las Vegas when it's 117 degrees out , since this model doesn't have the 130 mph nanny limit in the ECU !
