Default S4 Avant on the road again!!

I had just had delivery of my S4 Avant in January, when I slipped on the ice in my driveway, and had shoulder surgery and 6 weeks with an arm brace. So...the Avant went into dry storage with only 275 miles on the odometer. No kidding, that hurt me more than my shoulder!

Well, now I can get behind the wheel again, so I took my S4 out of storage yesterday. Today my son and I took a great dry-road tour down Turnagain Arm, just a few miles out of Anchorage.

So here's a photo of the only S4 Avant in Alaska (so far), with our typical ordinary, dull Alaskan scenery, and the ice floes in Turnagain Arm going out rapidly with the tide..... all in all, a GREAT day for a road trip in a new S4.......

It is still down with a broken fuel line -- a real fire hazard. I can't get the old line off --typical English "quick-release" fittings -- hah!

Default Re: Wow..

My Cossie fuel lines were changed to braided hoses by the tuner (Eggenberger, in Switzerland). But one of the braided hoses sprang a leak, if you can believe that.

Avram,

Audi's are very popular in Alaska, especially the A6 Allroad. Also 4Matic MB sedans and wagons. But Subaru's are the most popular sedans/wagons, given their lower price and wide model range. But I guess I''d have to say that the typical Ford/Chev/Dodge 4WD pickup is the most popular, of all though.
