Default s4 in snow with "no season" tires

Just wanted to say i cheaped out and bought all seasons tires for the winter in upstate NY. And the car goes like no other in the snow. These cars are just plain amzaing. Now all i need is decent wiper blades
Hope everyone had as much fun in the snow as i did

Same here in Iowa. I threw some cheap all seasons on it right off the bat. It gets around in snow like an offroad vehicle. Seriously, unless the snow is over 4 inches deep, the S4 with all seasons gets around as effectively as my LX470 does. My LX470 has mud/snow tires on it.

Default The problem isn't driving in the snow.. its driving on the ice

or in other words, stopping on the ice. Notice the Mercedes ML on this clip and how it stopped like all the others.

https://forums.audiworld.com/rockymtn/msgs/31765.phtml</a

I know there is no help on the ice, and stopping is always an issue, but i came from a 2001 saab 9-3, and to have a car that i don't have to dig out of a parking space or start out in second gear to get it moving makes me a happy person.

my complete thought on the subject while the type of car matters, the drivers skill is the most important thing in bad weather, and i think we all can agree with that

Default Toyo T1-S In the Snow are a trip to say the least...

Got caught in the snow last week. I am leaving my wheels on all winter and damn the Toyos are like racing slicks. Then again they are a performance tire.

Default This is where dedicated winter tires prove their worth

It's not in cornering, it is a little better in acceleration, but the biggest benefit is the improved stopping power of the winter tires versus all-seasons and especially performance tires.
