i assume you are buying them on ebay or somewhere else online... what you are buying are actually not s4 mirrors...

the s4 using polished aluminum
and the rs4 uses satin finish mirrors... don't hold me to that, im just pretty sure

anyway im 100% sure its not chrome and that the actual cost of the mirrors retail is --> $929.95

I asked someone earlier and they said they are plastic. Just like on the B6

i don't know about the actual s4 ones... but i know the ones online are ABS plastic under the chrome

there have been some reports that some plastic mirrors were put on in 05. BTW they are polished aluminum

Its kinda shi**y if you ask me they would flip flop like that. I have plastic, and ESFO has aluminum. We compared one day....
