Default So I'm going to quiet my ride down...

I finally ordered the resonators for my AWE non-res exhaust. I've been driving around since last summer with APR downpipes and AWE non-res and it draws waaayyyyy too much attention. I don't think there's a louder setup for this car, other than catless downpipes. I also just want the cabin to be quieter at cruising speeds and to be able to hit the gas without sounding too ridiculous.

I haven't gotten under my car yet, but I think the adapter from the downpipes to exhaust is welded. How many hours of labor do you think it will take to have it cut and refitted? I was hoping a shop would charge me 2 hours, but I don't know if I'll be that lucky. The resonators just bolt onto the exhaust. But the tough part will be getting the exhaust off and re-welding a new adapter.

By the way, big thanks to John at AWE tuning since he called to make sure I really meant to order just the resonators. They could have just shipped them and charged me but they wanted to make sure I actually had their exhaust first.

Default How far are you from Boston? I'd like to hear the set up after you..

..install the resonators. I just put on a Labree catback and want to get an idea what difference DPs make.

Default Must be getting old :)

Any competent exhaust shop should be able to do that, I'm sure it's easier with the MT too. Two hours should be okay, if you're lucky. I have the same issues with my car being loud in the city drawing unwanted attention, but I love it on trips.

Default I'm an hour and a half from Boston.

I think I can convince a friend or two to ride up to Boston for an Anna's Burrito some Saturday. By the time the part comes in and I get an appointment with ICS tuning, it's probably about a month away before I'll get up to Boston.
