I don't think it really matters. But if you can do one now, I would say exhaust
as you will enjoy it more everyday with the sound.
Btw, are you doing catback only or full exhaust? if catback I think the main benefit will be a very nice rumbling sound.
The chip does add something, but it is more subtle and you tend to get used to it and forget about it.
Also, I was told that the chip performs better with the hyperflow, but not sure about it, you should check.
Which exhaust and chip are you thinking of doing?

I did just a chip first, I just put my exhaust on yesterday,
Didn't do downpipes, but neither of them will you notice power, I would do the exhaust first it is the best upgrade. They only thing about doing an exhaust in November in the north is it is cold to have the windows down to listen to it.

Actaully, I forgot to add I already have the hyperflow. I was thinking of getting 2 resonator AWE
CB. No fullback for me.. at least not for awhile. As far as chip is concern, I dont know which one yet. I tried APR during their free trial at waterfest and it seems pretty nice. I feel better throttle response but Im leaning towards REVO.
