Thermostat Issues
I recently bought a 2005.5 S4, and I have noticed a problem with the thermostat. It seems to go crazy, it will start out at strange areas, and then move halfway, even if its past the Red line (meaning it started above half and moved past max). What could be the problem? It seems to be reading something but it is not showing it accurately. Any help would be great. Thanks

Could be the coolant temperature sensor ... relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. That would be the first thing to look at before digging into the thermostat.
