Default Things to look at before buying b6 s4.

Getting ready to buy 2004 s4 6sp. Are there any specific things to look at before buying? Any recalls on that model? Any other tips?

thanks

Default CPO - the best insurance against surprises

The cars have to be accident free to be CPO, and you will be covered for major stuff for a couple of years after the factory warranty expires (if there's any left on the car you choose). Buy from a dealer, it's worth it.

Default I think on the 04 B6 S4 there was a problem with people not using the Search Feature.

Might want to have that looked at...

Default Wow... really? I RTFM but I can't find reference to this anywhere!

Why does your car have a feature that mine doesn't? Maybe it comes with the Nav package?

vast majority of the problems were on cars built during 2003. Look for build dates past Jan 2004

Default Re: CPO - the best insurance against surprises

I got my 04 from an infinti dealer. Some guy traded it in, so no CPO. The car has a clean title and all, but I am wondering it is possible to have it certified? The car has 28k on it and is in pristine condition.

So I guess my question can it be certified or do I have to do the extended warranty through the dealership? The company they go through is Fidelity. Not sure if they are any good. TIA.

Default Ask your local Audi dealer. They may be able to add a warranty on it...

if they could. After all, it's a warranty sale for them and more peace of mind for you.
