That time of year is coming and I need to get some snow tires. I have a couple quesitons....
I'm leaning towards the Dunlop SP Winter Sport. I am going to put the winters on my stock rims and get some bbs' in the summer. I want to get 225/45VR18 tires. I know the stock tire size is 235/40/18.
Will the 225/45 fit on the stock rims?

thanks.. I think they wilI fit too, but i just spoke to a rep at Tire Rack and he said that
a 225/45/18 tire won't fit on our stock rims.. does he not know what he is talking about?

My Nokian WR AWPs are stock size and work fine in Lake Tahoe region .
I didn't bother to go 10 mm narrower. Make sure whatever you get has the XL load rating.

Maybe he's got the wrong wheels in mind. Look at the specs for that tire....
It will show what the recommended wheel sizes are.
I just looked and Tirerack doesn't show a 225/45/18 size for the Dunlops you mentioned.
Maybe that was what he meant.
