I was looking into this as well and the cost of the custom fabrication and the parts at cost was
roughly going to be around 14 grand. This was going to be a water to air intercooled twin turbo set up custom manifolds and the turbos mounted next to the frame rails. 7psi maximum and putting a rough estimate of 375or so awhp on pump gas. So if you love the car that much than be my guest but I rather find a nice B5 and do GT28s at that point.

It's gonna be sweet when it's done.
There's more than one shop working on this. Turbos fit. Just like on the B5 and the RS6, you can't see them from above. The challenge beyond plumbing is intercooler location. Compression can be lowered by thicker head gaskets. Lowering compression a point is probably all that's needed to run enough boost to get over 500hp out of this thing. I expect the kit to come in at about 12k.
