Twofer: sat.radio interface and nav functionality

Twofer: sat.radio interface and nav functionality
I'm looking at a new B7 S4, and I have two questions. I used to have a '99 A4, so I'm not a total newbie at the Audi game ;-)
1. Is there any difference between the actual interface of the Audi XM and Sirius units? More specifically, is there a difference in the process of seeking genres/stations/categories?
2. How good is the nav; how do you like it?
For some background, I'm trading in a vehicle with a full Pioneer AVIC-D1 setup (nav, xm, amps, speakers, sub), and I'm trying to figure out 1) Whether I should sell all the audio equipment or install it in the new Audi, and 2) If I go with the OEM Audi stuff, which radio format is better suited to the physical unit. For example, the AVIC-D1 can play either Sirius or XM, but the interface for Sirius is slow, clunky, and ugly, while the XM interface is gorgeous; clearly the D1 was intended for use with XM.
Thanks y'all.

I;'d sell the Avic - either get the nav aftermarket (cheaper than from factory) or wait for the new avic... they added much good stuff. Not sure if it's on the street yet, may not be released until CES in January. But the D1 is now 1.0.
No matter what, you won't go wrong on the ride.

i have the old nav (so the symphony radio)
and like i mentioned, the only difference is the abbreviation (SR for sirius and XM for XM).
The RNS (new nav) is totally different. Here's a screen shot:

http://www.navplus.us/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=356</a

so the readouts/station names are displayed the same
between XM and Sirius? Do you get artist/songtitle as well?
I really don't want to flub this one up - get the car right the first time, you know. I apologize for the barrage of questions, and I appreciate your responses.

Re: so the readouts/station names are displayed the same
2 lines on the symphony II radio (one for artist, one for song). they don't scroll, so long names are cut off.
not sure how the RNS nav handles it
