Default haha, i was not expecting to log in and see my name on the posts

I do not have sat since I use my iphone for music exclusively. I believe there is a cable you can purchase to run the DICE in parallel with the RNS-E, check navplus.us

Default sure thing, I some searching around various forums today and the best I could come up with

was the information that I've put on this post in teh audio forum (AW), I'm going to try to twist 5speed6's arm into doing the install, since you're in teh area too (NYC ish right?) maybe you can too..

IF this is teh right solution that is..

Default just in case you haven't seen these - some other good threads on dice vs. icelink.

Default I had an icelink on the car before I upgraded to nav-e, in order to keep the sat I had this

cable/harness made by 'ultrasport sal' here on AW, it all worked ok...but I'm sort of hoping things have take a few steps forward since then as it was a bit botched together...

Default Oh hm.

On retrospect, why would satellite be affected by the dice or icelink? I thought they both plug into the CD-Changer channel on the head unit, and satellite continues to come in via the sat antenna?

btw, yeah i'm in manhattan, if you figure out a workaround/installer, i'd love to do the Dice install and get the the satellite reconnected again. I Disco'ed it after upgrading to the rns-e because i didn't have the right adapter for it.

Default from my low-tech standpoint, it would appear that the head unit will only take one additional signal

so a splitter is required to toggle back and forth from sat to ipod..

also, your issue with the sat unit is probably that the one that came with your car will not work with rns-e, I had to upgrade my box, I'm not aware of an adapter

Default Yeah, I don't know that this applies. It worked for me, but I don't have an RNS-E
