V1 Problem - (Have STFA)
The last two weeks, my V1 has been going crazy. At random times I will get what looks like the Lazer warning sound, and full lights on the bottom. It goes off many times in a row. This happens when I am listening to FM / AM / Sat / no radio. I thought it might have to do something with bridges (seemed to go off near bridges / overpass) but disproved that a few times. I live in Orange County CA, and have the problem on the 73 / 55 / and the 5. Am I being lazer tracked by aliens?
Any Ideas??

I get false V1 laser alarms from:
- 3rd brake light on GM SUVs (trailblazer)
- 3rd brake light on BMW 3-series cabs
- mobile road work announcement signs
- Infiniti (FX, Q) & Lexus (RX, LS) adaptive laser-based cruise control systems
I've also heard that Audi dasboard LED displays set off V1 laser alarms.

That's odd. I have never had a false laser detection on my V1. When did you guys get your V1s? Maybe a firmware update will clear it up.

Unvelievable! Read your post and 15 min. later on hwy. the same thing happened
Couldn't tell what the cause was. I was following a BMW Z8 that seemed to be the cause, but could've been a semi. Just kept repeatedly going off.

I am in OC too and get the same with my Solo. Also on the way to Las Vegas..
there are parts where the detectors is screaming for miles without a break. I kind of attributed it to areas where Cal Trans is doing roadwork.
I am not sure this is to slow down drivers or it has some other significance.
