I am curious what Audi lovers choose as their SUV, and no I do not want to consider an avant, cause the SUV is what my father wants to drive and he does not want an avant.

Depends on the $$ and purpose of the SUV.
My number one suv is the cayenne turbo, just because I'm not into OHV driving anymore. Did that with my Tahoe, gave it too many rattles.
The cayenne turbo is a just a raised s4 really. It's actually slight slower from the roll, it falls a car length behind but holds the same distance until 130-140 (as tested by Benjman007 and myself). It handles amazingly...(as tested by benjman and my gf screaming in the backseat)
However, I'd get the touareg if I were going to spend much less. The new 10cylinder diesel sounds really awesome, maybe I'd hold off until that was released.

Audi's SUV should be here in around 2-3 years, but while you wait you can stay in the family and....
go with the VW Touareg or Porsche Cayenne.
Personally I like the Touareg more.

i actually drove the suv, for an suv it's very fast, but it's
too expensive at almost 100K, rather get a faster smaller car than a suv for that..so I guess everyone has good reviews on the Toureg?

Pikes Peak !!!!!!!!!!
:-P Otherwise I love the Range Rover and Toyota Land Cruiser. The lex. version of the LC is just over priced for the same car. Both are great, but of course the Range is more of the luxury car. Those are my two choices, dont really like the lincolns. Oh I got to drive an H2 off road the other day and I was impressed.
