Checked the power steering again yesterday, was over the max level...not sure if that's good, but the last time I was there asking them for more fluid, he filled it to the appropriate level. I've had it service since then, so maybe they "topped" it off again?
Well, here's the sound. You start the car, and while the revs are climbing, it's a moaning sound as if the car is telling you to let it sleep some more. Once the revs have climbed up and dropped back down to 1k for idle, the sound is gone. Tomorrow morning, I'll have someone else start for me to hear.
Any of you have any idea what this could be? I had the serp tsb done along with the manifold. Did any of you hear a manifold whistle or whine before having it done? I told them I heard it so they just grabbed the tsb and did the repair, but I hadn't before. Could this be it? The only thing is, it totally sounds like it should be the power steering pump and not anything else.

Side note: I just went back and found that I began experiencing the serp "whistle" 10/14/2003.
1.5 months after I bought the car.
That means I lived with it for a whole year, a bit more!!
Is that how long it takes for a damn TSB to get produced?

Only on really cold mornings I hear a whistle for about the first 30 seconds of driving when......
between 2000-3000 rpms.
I might be a little off on the rpm range that I hear the whistle.

Thanks, dental school. I know you remember. ;-)
I've been set back a bit because of this surgery, stil have 5 finals to take this semester, though I'm taking an easy load (3 span classes to finish the minor), but I already have my degree in psych. I get to find out today if I am set on going back up for one last semester. I'm taking the DATs at the end of this month. Feel ready, but you won't be seeing much of me on here in the next three weeks starting monday.
