Well, the old girl has her first CEL. She goes in tomorrow for probing.
Actually I've had this CEL for some time. Little puff of bluish smoke sometimes when it starts and sometimes leaves a small cloud on full throttle. Vagged it and there was a code for one of the cats but I think there's more involved.
What's really strange is that she seems to be running pretty strong. I've had two races over the past month that I should have lost, and I didn't. One was a supercharged 96 Mustang GT and the other, just yesterday, a SRT8 Charger with an exhaust, though he started to pull ever so slightly up top. I think the Mustang just wasn't tuned well. How else could I have hung with him....
But I digress... May be time for new cats and a revised custom exhaust configuration.

Nice coincidence - mine just CEL'd me yesterday, ~70 days out of warranty.
Appears to be a vacuum hose that disappears under the intake manifold - yaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!!
Fortunately, the dealer is stepping-up and cutting the cost. (Thanks, JD!!)
I also drove an RS4; interesting, but not quite the distinguishing upgrade I was expecting, not enough get me to cancel the 335.
Should get it back tomorrow.

Gotta say....
the Magnum. She's got some serious omph from that 40 or 60 mph stomp especially.
With that said, your race with the Charger doesn't surprise me all that much. (dig race, correct?)
Stock, they run ~13.1-13.2 @ 108 with a competent driver. As I personally know, a not so experienced racer can easily make this a mid 13 car @ 104. (me @ E-Town)
And if my memory serves me correct, you've recorded a low 13 second pass with the S.
Above 80 or so, the S is gonna get run down for sure.
But enough speculation, you and I know there is only one way to settle this discussion... =

You'll have to come see my new digs, I have a nicely sized garage for the S4 to finally sleep in. Lot of construction at the moment but that should clear up in a month or two, according to North Wales Borough.

I just got my first one too. I go in tomorrow for check. I hope it is not catbacks.
I commented a couple of weeks back about not having any issues with my miltek exhaust compared to what others have been reporting. I hope I didn't jinx myself. I'll post when I find out.
