what makes this high-pitch sound i can hear from engine? drive chain?
with windows down its more prominent. need to listen to another S4, maybe it shouldn't be there...

2 things, 1 gets less noticable the more miles you have on it & 2 there's a TSB
about the intake manifold, but you've gotta be in a certain vin range, other than that, it's part of the car's "charm" due to this placement of the chain drive.

...maybe more prominent when cold...
i can hear it when engine-breaking in second gear (windows down)... i have a feeling that it's normal, but to me its a bit noticeable, that's why i'm asking...
