When it comes to tire for S4(2005), is it still OK to use 'V' speed rating instead of 'ZR' rating ?

When it comes to tire for S4(2005), is it still OK to use 'V' speed rating instead of 'ZR' rating ?
Sorry for another stalking question regarding tire,
Discount-tire strongly encourged me to go for yk520. I could see so many good reviews on this tire at discounttire.com. But I also could see that tire's speed rating is V, not ZR rated.
Maybe I don't need ZR because I would not drive at >149mph that much.
However I think this number means something for the handling not just vehicle's maximum speed. So I wonder how much performance/safety could get degraded by downgrading tire (in its speed-rating).
Is it a good idea to try yk520-v-rated?
Any good comments would be appreciated,
thanks.

It's the load rating you need to be somewhat concerned with as well ...
and the yk520's are XL rated (what Audi recommends). Also take a look at the Kumho Ecsta SPT. They are a reasonably priced, ultra high performance summer tire that are also XL rated. I put a set on my S4 last Spring and have been very happy with the results. Just bear in mind that these are "summer" tires and if you live where snow and/or very cold weather is an issue, these would not be appropriate for year-round use (you'll need a dedicated winter set ... I have a set of Dunlop WinterSport M3's for winter use).
