Default Interesting thing is, AoA only wanted...

... 25 of 'em. Sort of a little present for the top dealers in the country, as it were. But it seems somebody in VM (global marketing) back in Ingolstadt though Dr. Winterkorn would be happier to see ten times that many for a country as large as the United States. So the order was upped to 250 by somebody 4500 miles away from the market.

Really.

Default Interesting indeed. I wonder what they think now.

They must not have imagined a majority of them being used as exclusive paper weights.

Default i wonder how they plan to handle R8 numbers.

i've heard they'll make limited runs for one engine type and then move up to the next engine type but not both at the same time. i wonder how much time will elapse between the two.

Default That's pretty easy to figure out. With the Limited Edition (build-out) TT they're only...

... doing 99 of 'em.

Normally I'd say "once burned, twice shy," but with the ALMS TT and RS6 experiences thrown in that doesn't seem quite right,

Admittedly, the first special edition TT and RS6 were done during somebody else's watch.
