Default Winter stuff--Snow tires and floor mats

Has anyone used the Audi rubber floor mats? Are they any good or has anyone used something different that's worked for them?
Snow tires!?!?
Is anyone using Hakkapeliitta's (sp?)? I know they're the best snow tire and was just wondering if anyone has them on stock wheels, although, I doubt the make them in that size.

Default Rubber Floor Mats are good stuff....

I would personally recomend Blizzak LM-25's as the winter tires. I have the LM-22's and the 25's are supposed to be a substantial improvement. Also I have found that any non-audi mat doesnt seem to fit right. So probably try clairparts.com since they will be cheaper then the stealer.

Thanks! I'll check out clair parts. The only thing with the tires is I used the Hakkapeliitta tires on my Renault in Sweden while helping out w/ field work and research a few years ago and their studless tires were amazing even on solid ice (plus it's what they use in Winter rally racing there). The only problem is I don't feel like buying a whole new set of 17" wheels just to fit these tires, so I was just wondering if anyone has them on the stock wheels.
If not Blizzak LM-25's it is!!!

Default I have had the rubber mats in since I got the car. Good stuff. Carpet looks awesome.

I have VERY little wear in the carpet and it is only slightly dirty in a few spots. It would easily clean up to looks about as close to new as you can get for close to 20,000 miles.

Default I'm sure the make the Nokian WR in your size. (m)

I just bought the new Hakka RSi. It is supposed to be the best snow/ice tire they make without studs. I would take Nokin over Blizzak any day. Check with jprice over in the tires forum for more details.

I had rubber "winter" Mats from Audi for my B5 A4 and they were good, except they didn't pop into place on those two pins they have at the back end of the mat closest to the seat. I checked with the dealer and he knew about it so don't force them on.

They were good except they slid around a little but were good for slush and mud. My old mats were grey so anything black or dirty showed up. My new ones are black, so I am not going to get for this one. Plus I blew out my knee and won't be doing skiing this year

Default LLTEK has sets that go up the sides of the carpet...

so that for the most part there is no spillage. the factory rubber mat will spill for sure. Only bad thing about the LLTek is the ugly (IMHO) logo on the mats. -Pete

I agreee about the logo. They have nice stuff, but they make it tacky with that logo.
