Default I mean, chip, bigger turbos, etc, you have the most versatile engine next to the 2.7T...

And I remember a post sometime last week about a 1.8T with a aftermarket turbo (APR Stage 3 maybe) doing some runs with a guy in an modded B6 S4 on the LA freeway and keeping up pretty well. The conclusion was that if the S4 was stock he would most likely have been toast. I always feel like a car should be function over form. Thats why I dont drive an M3 or some other rwd car and that is why I made the original comment. I didn't mean it to be disrespectful, and you do have some impressive modifications. But my dad is an old racer so i have the function over form concept molded into me.

you will see more of it soon enough. Our warranties are just starting to expire.

Default not to worry...

i didn't interpret your comment as being disrespectful...

my priority w/ the Avant, and i'm in no way ashamed of admitting it, was to make it look good... i believe i'm almost done regarding what people like to refer to as "show" mods... i still do have a couple of things here and there that i'd like to change/modify, but overall it's pretty much where i want it to be...

now here's a couple of reasons why i went with "show" vs. "go"...
- it's a daily-driver, i use it to go to work, about 20-25kms round trip, all downtown driving... and to go on the occasional long trip...
- also like <b>Projekt</B> stated, i've been somewhat more or less concerned w/ warranty issues...
- power... well once you start going down that road, no matter what you do it's unlikely it will ever be enough...

but that being said and since i'm now near completion on the "show" mods, i've been slowly adding "go" mods here and there...

and like i said, having upgraded the brakes, the suspensions, sway bars, DV, exhaust, DSMIC, the Avant is now prepared for more...

one thing at a time... one thing at a time... )
