Default Yep. You CAN bring the rear end around in the rain...

Just wish I had meant too, sort of throttle lift, gradual right turn after exiting tunnel. Luckily no cars in opposing lane (barely). Funny, this was just after thinking, "man, the stock exhaust sounds great in this tunnel, (revs higher...)

First and I would like to think last close call...

Default On ramps in the southbay rock! ie. great america to 101 S...DRIFT in the rain

I was with a friend on the way to San Jose Airport, we were headed to vegas.

I was a bit excited.

I've never had anyone yell in fear for so long!

Also, I've never pulled off such a long and perfect drift...that onramp is simply excellent in the wet!

It was video material!

Default Our cars are so easy to throw around...

That's one of the reasons I'm thinking of shelving the S4 for track work.

[1] It's certainly not the best track car in the world

[2] There's not as much feed back as I'd like and the ability/technique required is fairly low.

Basically anyone car drive them fast.

Default Stock, 10k on them.

Hoping to get an HPDE out of them in May but maybe not. Could be time for new shoes, save the tread on the Avus for the track.

Default Scotty, Agreed however...

Yes the stock S4 is not the best track car however for me it is the best combination of a high end daily driver and a good track car. I had an M3 on order, but with three kids I needed 4 doors. I also came close to getting an STI, but decided that it was more of a track car vs. daily driver. The ultimate goal is to be able to afford both a daily driver and a track car, but that will need to wait a few more years....

BTW your videos are great.

Jim.

Default high revs + wet road + curve + lift = lift throttle oversteer

not an unusual occurance. when I was younger, inexperienced and foolish I did this this in both my FWD GTi and then in my Porsche 911.
