18" or 19" factory wheels on your S4?

Good info, thanks guys. That video was pretty interesting.
In my case it's less about choosing one over the other, and more about deciding what options I can be flexible on, so that I can work with cars from dealer inventory. I think I can be flexible on the wheels as far as looks, and it's good to know there probably won't be a significant performance or handling issue that I'd be able to notice.
Maybe I'm an odd ball on this point, but I think the exterior color of the car has a big impact on how well the wheels work. The "peelers" seem to be the most universal (work well with the most exterior colors), and the quartz gray seems to be the most universal exterior color (works well with all 3 factory rims). Just my opinions of course.

I upgraded to the 19 inch ti wheels for the looks (IMO) rather than for any enhanced performance. But, then again, I don't like to look of dropped suspensions but I'm probably in the minority.

I rode the stock 18"s for 22,000 km. Terrible tires, worn completely and that is rotating and checking the tire pressure weekly. Anyway replaced the summer stock with Yokohama W-drive winter. Excellent riding winter. Recommend 100%. I am now riding on aftermarket two piece rims 19" with Hankook performance summer tires. So far I give the tires and rims two thumbs up.

I got the 19'' Titanium package rims for the looks. If they had been available in 18'' I would have gotten those, because of the terrible roads in my area. However, I have the adjustable suspension, and even with 19'', with the suspension at the comfort setting, the ride is better than my 2008 Mercedes C350 with 17'' wheels. I do have to be careful about the potholes though. There isn't too much distance between the tire and the wheel with the 19''. I just love the Titanium package rims and I abhor the other 19'' potato peeler rims/flower petal rims, which to me seem like was made for a Beetle, so it was no issue for me. Had I gotten a Premier Plus, I'd have kept the standard 18'' rims, which seem okay to me.

The stock 18" Audi B8 S4 OEM USA wheels are pretty ugly, that is why I changed them to aftermarket 18" VMR 708. If I could have had the Titanium wheels from Audi in 18", I would have gone for those.

Decided to clean and wax the new summer wheels today, and hoping to install them tomorrow. 18" RS-GTs with Michelin Pilot 3s. It took me almost 3 hours to do, using Swisswax cleaner, followed by Swisswax Autobahn wheel wax, and finished it off with Adams Super VRT tire dressing. It felt like I was never going to get done! In retrospect, the 19" Ti wheels I recently sold would have been a whole lot easier to clean and wax.
On the other hand, I really do like the looks of the RS-GTs:
