The RS4 already stock costs more and when you add the JHM tune to the B7 RS4 the price goes sky high. At the price of a new B7 RS4 and JHM tune you could have bought a GT-R and demolish it.
The JHM tune for the B7 won't allow that platform to handle any better either so B8 for the win. B7 RS4 NA = Fail again I would rather buy a GT-R or B8 S4 with a tune saves big time money yet only marginally slower than a JHM tuned V8.

Either way, it will be really interesting to see if it comes to the US.

Do these folks at GmbH listen to anything that is being said on the forums....

The Stasis/APR tune will outdo it....

really? I think RS4s are a bit cheaper than that these days. Try 40-50k.

Also 'peaky torque curve'? What car are you talking about? The RS4 makes 90% of it's peak torque from 2200 to 7600 rpm. I think you're just missing some of the facts about the RS4.

p.s. RS4 was actually $96,000 base price in Canada! Our dollar was pretty weak back when pricing was set.

You're horribly misinformed. The RS4 handles just fine thanks riegerman. Faster around most tracks than the B8, sport diff or not. Get to know fastest laps. The RS4 was the fastest sedan in the world ever around the nurburgring (7:58) before the Panamera Turbo came along.

As for a JHM tune, it's $600...and there are no 'new' B7 RS4s so what are you talking about? The car hasn't been produced since 2008.

used 2007 RS4 = about 38,000
JHM tune = $600
JHM 2.75" exhaust = $2500
JHM clutch/flywheel = $1700
Total = $42,800 and it ran 12.28 @ 112

used 2010 B8 S4 DSG = about $45,000
APR tune = $1500
APR pulley+stageII = ? $500
Milltek catback = $1800?
034 HFC = ?$500
LW Wheels = $1000
Total = $50,800 and it ran 12.39 @ 111

Want more? How about a $9,000 JHM supercharger kit for the RS4 to make over 500 whp? Now the pricing is equal, but the B8 is still running mid to low 12s, while the RS4 is in another world.

Add it all up, and that = your entire argument lying on the floor in a crumpled heap. If you want to ****-talk a platform, make sure there's nothing but guys who don't know the platform listening.

^^^plenty of choices if that's all you want. Just none in a small fun car. AMG E/S/CLS, 5 series, M5, S6/7/8.

FI V8 isn't the ONLY thing I want. Give me something with next-gen quattro, a 450-500HP FI V8 (or even V6) that revs to 7000, option for a 6MT or a DSG with a true manual mode, and Audi-level interior treatment with those RS5 recaro seats and that would be a car that gets me excited.

lol thats a long list

I think as I said, unless it's a 192" long car that weighs 4300 lbs, you're going to be disappointed. The horsepower wars appear focused on torque from smaller engines, so the 10s are replaced with 8s, and the 8s are replaced with 6s.

No exhaust note for you!

p.s. every hear this? Sounds pretty good. It's the 4.0TT S6/7/8

Not undoable I don't think. Heck, the current 3.0TFSI with a TVS1650, widebody, RS Suspension and updated Quattro, and RS interior bits would be pretty dope IMO, and probably be rated around 400HP with headroom to get to around 450WHP easily IMO.

Otherwise, yeah that 4.0TT would be better than the 4.2 IMO, though it doesn't rev high enough for my liking. That new M5 does look pretty enticing even for a boat, BTW.
