Sorry, I don't have specific knowledge about Audi of Canada. Apparently AoC also brought over the 6 speed manuals, according to their website.

Audi took the gamble with the TT RS, which was done in a very similar way, and at very low volumes. One would think they would approach the RS4 Avant in a very similar way.

An S4 Avant would probably sell more, and I'd be quite happy being simply being able to buy one of those.

I have heard rumors that AUSI may be doing away with Manual Trans all together, atleast in the U.S. The dual clutch transmissions are popular. I heard that after 2013, even the R8 will only come equipped with the DSG. I'll believe that when I see it though

FWIW, I would have bought an S4 Avant over my S4 Sedan if it had been offered.

Unfortunately, that's probably correct.

Yup, I just talked with a salesmen at an Audi dealership where I live inquiring about the S3 sedan we are getting in mid 2013. They will only be available with DSG, and we probably won't be getting the RS3 either. See what happens when everyone stops buying manuals for DSG's, Now all future Audi's may not offer a manual at all. Just to lose a few tenths off the 0-60 times, was it really worth it?

No Manual transmision just like MB. I can see quite a few jumping to BMW. But Audi really won't care because the numbers will not significantly effect sales.

I read something not to long ago about a next gen AMG C class being available in a 6 speed manual. The article was about the head of AMG talking about the end of the horse power war and now they were focusing on light weight and agility. So they want to offer the next AMG C class with a light weight 6 speed manual. Sounds good to me.
