I have the black silk nappa leather with white stitching. After 2k miles, I can see that the white stitching on the steering wheel (thumb notches) is going to turn darker over time (from my grimy hands....no need to write the "wash your hands" comment).

I'm so nutty about it staying white, I'm wondering if I should put some athletic tape (or other) over those areas or if maybe someone has an idea of how to clean it. Any thoughts?
