Sounds like ours will be on the same boat. Anybody else on that boat?

I agree about the spotty updating. My dealer told me Monday it was in build status as of that day (11/2) and today it has a VIN - does it really take only 5 days to build? I suspect it was started well before 11/2.

Of course, at this time I don't really care - I have a VIN and a port date!

Steve

Unsure, this last one went Bremerhaven -> Brunswick -> San Diego with no stop in Houston. I think there might be another which stops farther up the east coast, then does Houston, while this is a different run.

I don't have my VIN yet, but it's on a ship and I've got a port date as well. I can always see the VIN later when I'm getting in my car.

Went into the dealership and got an even more updated schedule.

Ship Loaded: 11/13
Dealer Delivered: Week of 12/21

Sales Rep seemed confident I'll get it before Christmas, yes!

So "my" ship is scheduled to arrive on 11/23. I've checked out some websites that have information about future arrivals at the U.S. ports. When I look at San Diego, there are only 5 ships scheudled in the next two weeks are all "fruit ships" (Dole, for example).

Does anyone know anything about those websites? I'm trying to track down any/all RO-RO (roll on, roll off) ships coming into San Diego around the 23rd of November.

Thanks!

Well, those ships that are listed for future arrival at the Port of San Diego are ships that carry intermodal containers. Audi uses roll on, roll off ships (they actually drive the cars right onto the ship) for their transport. Not only that, but you can look at the intinerary and they all originated in South American and didn't detour to Germany.

Something to remember - it will not have a destination for SD until it has offloaded at the OTHER port(s) first. So it will have a destination of Houston, Brunswick, etc, until such time as it debarks from there - heading to SD.
