My sales guy told me I could still buy it...but...he might have been wrong. He knew I was at 20,000 miles.
My dealership does a great job of taking care of it's customers and my sales guy has been the best I've ever had. So full faith in these guys.
I did pay to have the pollen filter changed at 15,000. Not expecting to get reimbursed on that if they let me purchase AudiCare and get the DSG service done...which will be happening in about February/March! My guess, is I'm going to be the first on this forum to get the service and I know I will be the first at the dealership to get this service done. Everyone gets to practice on Dan's car when I buy something that is a fresh design!!!

I bought my audicare at the 25,000 km first service. No issues. I was told as long as it was purchased before the first year. However another dealer near my wife's work couldn't help me.

Called my salesguy today (Jason at Audi Raleigh) and bought Audi Care over the phone. Piece of cake to do, and the timing couldn't have been better. I got my FedEx note yesterday and already had my 15k service scheduled for this coming Monday. No one I've spoken to has ever heard about a 1 year limit, but since most people drive ~15k miles per year, it makes the most sense to buy before your first year is up to avoid eating the 15k service cost.

Right now I feel like I am working with the best Audi dealership in the land (or at least one of the best).
When I purchased my S4 I made it very clear w the service department and the financing office that the reason I was not buying AudiCare was because there was no maintenance for the DSG and I just didn't see the cost benefit, especially since I was changing my own oil. So I didn't purchase AudiCare.
I talked with my service department on Monday when the fed ex arrived announcing the new maintenance interval for the DSG. It took them a couple days to get a answer from their regional Audi manager, but the good news is that Audi is going to cover my first DSG service for free. AofA is going to reimburse my dealer thru their 'goodwill' program. VERY VERY VERY nice of them to do this.
They knew I was not going to be really happy if I had to pay for it and would have possibly been better purchasing the AudiCare from the beginning. I have over 20,000 miles on my S4 (since April) so I'm outside of the 15,000 mile rule.
Anyway...I'm not going to be paying for my first DSG service until I hit the 75,000 mile mark.
Great example of how dealers really do care about their customers and stand behind the personal relationships.
