The lift points are in the manual and I think they are also identified on the body with small arrows or triangles. Was there something specific you weren't sure about?

I asked a tech that at a recent dealership open house. There is a small arrowhead (triangle) embossed in the lowest body panel to point to the jack locations. For the front wheels the arrowhead is back from the edge of the front wheelwell but not quite to the front door seam. Once you see what the arrowhead looks like it's easy to spot it for all 4 wheels.

The thing to watch for is the plastic undercover (you don't want the jack to be on this). For the front wheel it begins about 6 inches from the arrowhead, toward the center of the car. The jack pad on the jack should straddle the protruding welded seam, so it's best to find an aftermarket jack pad with a slot cutout (if your jack just has a flat hockeypuck style jack pad.

By the way, if you ever get a chance to see the underside of these cars while up on a hydraulic lift, it's quite impressive the way they've put in covers and heat shields, all packaged very cleanly. Probably the most "manicured" underbody I've seen.

And make sure the jack is positioned far enough under the car, along the rail (you'll know what I mean when you see it). If it's not far enough back, you'll damage the rocker (speaking from experience ).

I use a low profile jack and a Protech side-lift pad at the arrowed jack points. No pinch weld concerns. Just swapped my snow rims/tires yesterday.

do you guys have the built in jack pads like the rS4?

If not someone should order them and DIY them in. Great little feature. b6/7 guys used to do it.

No, we do not have the jack pads that the RS4 had... Those were really nice and made it much easier to jack up the car.

How about jack stands? Where you putting those since there is not enough room to jack it up from there and place stand next to it.
